For a proper fit, you should see a small gap of 1/8" to 1/4" of the mouthpiece visible on both sides of the horse's mouth to ensure the curve sits comfortably without pinching the lips.

Q: Is this bit appropriate for a young horse just starting their training?
A: No, the 33WL is a Level 3 bit intended for "finished" horses that are consistently trained and light in the bridle. It is specifically designed for horses that require maximum tongue relief and are ready for refined, subtle communication rather than the basic education provided by Level 1 or 2 bits.

Q: Does the wide port make this bit illegal for dressage?
A: Not at all. The Myler 33WL is specifically designed to be dressage legal for both USEF and FEI competition, provided the port height remains under 30mm, making it a top choice for competitive riders seeking legal tongue relief.

Item Number/SKU: 89-29347

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0619/8748/7965/files/optimized_ac6faf33-45e3-42c8-ae2b-bcd25932a695.webp?v=1767068875
