You should see approximately 1/8" to 1/4" of the mouthpiece on each side of the horse's mouth to allow the curved bars to wrap comfortably without the cheekpieces rubbing the lips.

Q: Is the "rusting" on the mouthpiece a defect?
A: Not at all! The Sweet Iron is designed to oxidize (rust) when exposed to moisture. This process creates a sweet taste that horses find highly palatable, promoting a moist, soft mouth and a more relaxed attitude during your ride.

Q: Is this bit appropriate for a "green" horse?
A: The MB 04 is a Level 2 bit, making it ideal for horses that have completed basic training and are ready to move away from a steady tongue pressure toward more refined cues and tongue relief.

Item Number/SKU: 89-16045

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0619/8748/7965/files/optimized_197dd742-8e37-41fe-a3e2-129dfad22ad6.webp?v=1767081611
https://hoovesandpaws.com/products/myler-black-steel-western-dee-low-port-comfort-snaffle-mb-04-5-inch
