Hooves & Paws Cinch Rigging Set - Tie Strap & Offside Latigo
- Vendor: Hooves and Paws
Product description
Both Sides of the Saddle, Replaced Together
Latigos wear out on a schedule, and they wear out together. Replacing the near side and leaving a stretched, cracked offside on the right is how you end up with rigging that pulls crooked — and a tie strap you do not fully trust when you step up. The Hooves & Paws Cinch Rigging Set covers both sides at once.
Both pieces are cut from oil-tanned latigo, which stays supple and resists stretching under load. The beveled edges feed through the rigging dee and cinch buckle smoothly instead of catching the way a square-cut strap does.

Why Riders Choose This Set
- Matched wear on both sides — Replace near side and offside together so your rigging ages evenly instead of new against tired.
- Low stretch under load — Oil-tanned latigo holds its length through roping, sorting and long days, so the cinch stays where you set it.
- Beveled edges feed clean — Rounded edges slide through the dee and buckle tongue without catching or scoring the leather.
- Double-sewn offside — The Martin Saddlery offside latigo is stitched at the fold, not just riveted.
- Standard 1 3/4" width — Fits the great majority of western rigging dees on ranch, roping and trail saddles.
Best For
Western riders refreshing tired saddle rigging looking for a matched near-side and offside pair that will not stretch out mid-season.
Frequently Asked Questions
Q: Which piece goes on which side?
The tie strap goes on the near (left) side where you tie your cinch knot. The offside latigo goes on the right and buckles to the cinch. This set gives you one of each.
Q: How often should latigos be replaced?
Check them every time you saddle. Cracking at the fold, elongated holes, or leather gone stiff and grey all mean it is done. Riders in regular work usually replace every couple of seasons.
Q: Will this fit my saddle?
The 1 3/4" width is standard western sizing and fits most rigging dees. If your saddle takes a narrower 1 1/2" strap, measure your existing latigo before ordering.
Warehouse note: this is a kitted bundle. The bundle SKU lists every component SKU in order, separated by “ - ”, so it can be picked straight from the SKU. A component listed twice is scanned twice.
