Fly Season Defense Kit Bundle - Cashel Crusader Fly Mask + UltraShield EX Fly Spray
📏 Fit & Sizing Guide — find your size
Most fly masks use bridle size names (Pony, Cob, Full, Extra Full), so start with the size your horse wears in a bridle or halter. Sizes vary by brand, so check this mask's chart before you order. A good fit sits the mesh clear of the eyes and lashes, with room to slide a finger under the closure.
Unsure between sizes? Returns accepted up to 365 days on new, unused items in original packaging (refund within 30 days, store credit after) — full policy, or call 760-247-5523.

Product description
Stop Flies Before They Start — Face Protection + Long-Lasting Spray
One warm week and your horse is stomping, head-tossing, and rubbing his face raw. This kit tackles the problem from both angles: the Cashel Crusader Fly Mask shields eyes and face with soft micromesh that blocks 70% of UV rays, while UltraShield EX spray handles the rest — legs, belly, flanks, anywhere flies land. Together, they give you complete fly season coverage without the daily guesswork.
The Crusader stays comfortable through all-day turnout with a forelock-friendly design that won't rub or slip. UltraShield EX is Absorbine's most advanced formula — kills and repels flies, mosquitoes, gnats, and ticks on contact, and keeps working through sweat and light rain for up to 17 days. Kit saves you 10% versus buying separately.
Why Riders Choose This Fly Defense Kit
- Complete protection from eyes to hooves — Mask covers face and eyes while spray protects legs, belly, and anywhere else flies land.
- 70% UV blocking micromesh — Soft Crusader mask fabric shields sensitive eyes from sun damage without compromising visibility.
- Up to 17 days of fly control per application — UltraShield EX stays active through sweat, light rain, and daily turnout — no need to reapply every day.
- Forelock-friendly fit that won't rub — Crusader design allows natural forelock position and eliminates common pressure points around eyes and cheekbones.
- Kills on contact, repels for weeks — Advanced Absorbine formula drops flies, mosquitoes, gnats, and ticks instantly and keeps them away long-term.
- Kit savings built in — 10% discount versus purchasing mask and spray separately — season-ready protection from day one.
Best For
Horse owners entering fly season looking for complete face-to-hoof protection without daily reapplication.
Frequently Asked Questions
Q: Does the Cashel Crusader Fly Mask come with ear coverage?
No, this kit includes the standard Crusader mask without ears. It provides full eye and face protection with the forelock opening, but if your horse needs ear coverage, you'll want to select the with-ears version separately.
Q: How long does one 32 oz bottle of UltraShield EX last?
Depends on how many horses you're treating and their size, but for one average horse, a 32 oz bottle typically covers 4–6 weeks of regular use. Since each application lasts up to 17 days, you're not spraying daily — which stretches the bottle significantly compared to standard repellents.
Q: Will UltraShield EX wash off if my horse gets caught in the rain?
It's designed to handle sweat and light rain, so a passing shower won't strip the protection. Heavy, sustained rain or bathing will reduce effectiveness, but under normal turnout conditions with occasional weather, you're still looking at multi-day coverage between applications.
Q: What sizes does the Crusader mask come in?
The Cashel Crusader is available in multiple sizes to fit most horses — from small horse/large pony up through extra-large draft sizes. You'll select your size at checkout based on your horse's measurements from browband to muzzle.
